WELCOME!

I am an associate professor and former director of the School of Politics and International Affairs at the University of Illinois, Springfield, and a nonresident senior fellow of public opinion and foreign policy at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs.

I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from Syracuse University's Maxwell School in 2014. Prior to joining UIS, I was a visiting predoctoral fellow at Northwestern University's Buffett Institute for Global Studies.

My research has been published in the European Journal of Political Research, British Journal of Politics and International Relations, Journal of European Public Policy and European Security, among others.

My book, Governing Abroad, investigates the impact of coalition politics, party ideology and legislative dynamics on the international commitments of parliamentary democracies.

At UIS, I teach undergraduate and graduate courses on international relations and foreign policy, European and Middle Eastern politics, and research methods.

Thanks for visiting!
